These pieces are my 3D mixed media equivalent of sketches and studies in the 2D world. With them I explore stretch and tension on crochet and how the layout of holes on the steel affects the way the crochet will lay. The title "Growth" is a nod to my piece "New Growth" in which I first explored crocheting directly onto metal and the patterns that result.
